LungeFit ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the LungeFit mobile app, website, and related services.
Health note: LungeFit provides exercise and rehabilitation support tools, but it is not a medical provider and does not replace advice from a licensed healthcare professional.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name
- Email address
- Age
- Profile picture, if you choose to add one
- Login and authentication information handled through Firebase Authentication
Fitness, Rehab, and Health-Related Information
- Injury type, surgery status, injured side, activity level, and physical therapy status
- Available exercise equipment and exercise preferences
- Workout plans, completed workouts, skipped exercises, and workout history
- Pain, swelling, difficulty, progress, LSI, and other check-in information you enter
- Exercise notes, feedback, and information used to adjust future workouts
AI Assistant Information
- Questions or messages you send to the in-app exercise assistant
- Relevant workout, exercise, and profile context needed to provide a useful response
- Assistant responses that you choose to save to your notes
Purchase and Subscription Information
- Subscription status, product, renewal status, and related account flags
- Stripe customer or subscription identifiers when purchases are processed through Stripe
- App Store or Google Play purchase status when purchases are processed by those stores
- We do not directly store full credit card numbers or payment credentials
Usage, Analytics, and Device Information
- App launches, first opens, screen views, feature interactions, workout generation, workout starts and completions, paywall events, and similar product events
- App version, platform, device type, operating system version, and general diagnostics
- Firebase or app instance identifiers used for authentication, analytics, install measurement, security, and fraud prevention
- Crash reports, performance information, logs, and error diagnostics
2. How We Use Information
- To create, personalize, and update knee exercise and rehab-focused workout plans
- To track progress and show workout history, insights, and recovery trends
- To provide account login, data sync, subscriptions, support, and security
- To provide AI-powered exercise guidance when you choose to use that feature
- To measure app installs, app performance, feature usage, and ad campaign effectiveness
- To debug errors, prevent abuse, improve LungeFit, and maintain reliable service
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and app store requirements
3. Analytics and Advertising Measurement
We use Firebase and Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate app usage, measure installs, and evaluate whether advertising campaigns are helping people discover LungeFit.
- Our iOS build is configured without IDFA support and does not include Firebase Analytics Identity Support.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your health-related workout details for third-party advertising profiles.
- We may use aggregated or event-level analytics to understand installs, app usage, trial limits, subscription flow, and general product performance.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted service providers to operate LungeFit. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
- Firebase and Google Cloud: authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, crash reporting, analytics, install measurement, and app security
- Google Analytics for Firebase: app analytics, app instance measurement, first-open/install events, and product usage measurement
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management when applicable
- Apple App Store and Google Play: app distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and purchase validation when applicable
- OpenAI: AI assistant responses when you use the assistant feature
- YouTube or video hosting providers: exercise demonstration videos
- Netlify: website hosting
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers listed above so they can operate services on our behalf
- When required by law, legal process, or government request
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of LungeFit, our users, or others
- In connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
6. Data Storage and Security
- Your app data is stored using Firebase and Google Cloud services.
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.
- Access to account data requires authentication.
- We use access controls and security practices designed to protect your information.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
- Account and workout data is retained while your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we aim to delete associated account data within 30 days.
- Some purchase, tax, security, backup, or legal records may be retained longer where required or reasonably necessary.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained to improve LungeFit.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- You can view and update your profile in the app.
- You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information.
- You can delete your account in the app or by contacting support.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails, if any, by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, or similar laws.
9. Account Deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data, use the account deletion option in the app or visit https://lungefit.com/account-deletion. You may also email support@lungefit.com.
10. Children's Privacy
- LungeFit is not intended for children under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
- Users under 18 should use LungeFit with guidance from a parent, guardian, or healthcare professional.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where we or our service providers operate. By using LungeFit, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed outside your region.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and may provide notice in the app, on our website, or by email.
